About the Role 

Adlib is seeking a versatile Senior Systems Engineer to join our Cloud Operations team. This role will cover a temporary leave of absence and last approximately 12-14 months. This role combines ownership of our internal IT environment with significant involvement in cloud infrastructure, automation, platform operations, and DevOps initiatives. 

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable supporting end users, improving enterprise IT systems, and contributing to modern cloud-native infrastructure. You are someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, automating manual processes, improving operational efficiency, and helping drive infrastructure modernization across the organization. 

This role serves as the primary administrator for Adlib's internal IT environment while also playing a key role in supporting and advancing our Azure, Kubernetes, automation, and platform operations initiatives. 

What You'll Do 

• Provide day-to-day support for internal help desk requests and end-user technical issues. 

• Administer and support Microsoft 365 services including Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and endpoint management. 

• Manage and maintain Microsoft Azure infrastructure and cloud services. 

• Support identity and access management, endpoint security, and compliance initiatives. 

• Partner with internal teams to improve security posture, operational controls, and governance practices. 

• Maintain and troubleshoot Windows-based infrastructure, end-user systems, servers, networking, and enterprise applications. 

• Support networking and security infrastructure including firewalls, VPNs, wireless networks, and switching technologies. 

• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure automation solutions. 

• Contribute to Kubernetes-based platform operations and containerized environments. 

• Support CI/CD pipelines, deployment tooling, GitOps workflows, and infrastructure-as-code initiatives. 

• Assist with cloud architecture improvements, platform reliability, monitoring, and operational excellence initiatives. 

• Support AI-related technologies and internal AI enablement initiatives. 

• Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and system standards. 

What We're Looking For 

• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure administration, cloud operations, or a related role. 

• Strong experience administering Microsoft 365 environments. 

• Hands-on experience managing Microsoft Azure infrastructure and services. 

• Strong Windows systems administration and enterprise IT infrastructure experience. 

• Experience supporting modern cloud platforms, automation tooling, and DevOps practices. 

• Familiarity with Kubernetes, containers, GitHub, Helm, CI/CD pipelines, or infrastructure-as-code tools. 

• Solid understanding of networking, security, identity management, and enterprise infrastructure design. 

• Experience administering firewalls, VPNs, switching, or wireless infrastructure. 

• Experience supporting Linux-based systems is considered an asset. 

• Knowledge of compliance and security frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar standards is an asset. 

• Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar technologies is an asset. 

• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills. 

• Ability to balance operational support responsibilities with strategic infrastructure initiatives. 

• Collaborative mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and automation.
