Senior Transportation Engineer (25017))

We currently have an opening for a full-time Senior Transportation Engineer in our Fredericton, NB office. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing transportation projects and managing a team of engineers and technicians. You will work closely with clients to develop and deliver transportation solutions that meet their needs and expectations. You will also be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance to your team members. 

The successful candidate will have the following:  

Educational & Experience Requirements: 

• Minimum of 10 year’s civil engineering experience in the design of highways, roads, and other transportation related infrastructure. 


• Currently registered or have the ability to register as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in New Brunswick. 


• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited University. 


• Excellent oral and written communication skills. 


• Proven project management and technical skills. 


• Working knowledge of AutoCAD 3D. 


• Working knowledge of NBDTI and NSTIR; and TAC geometric design standards. 

Main Duties: 

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in the following: 

• Work as a highway designer on civil infrastructure projects with a focus on detail design for municipal/ arterial road and freeway design. 


• Manage transportation projects from concept through to construction and commissioning. 


• Provide technical guidance to project teams and ensure quality of deliverables. 


• Work closely with clients to develop project requirements and ensure deliverables meet their needs and expectations. 


• Prepare project proposals, budgets, and schedules. 


• Prepare and review technical reports and engineering drawings. 


• Conduct field investigations and inspections as required. 


• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations. 


• Mentor and coach junior staff members.
