Accountabilities
- Represent insured individuals and the company in the defense of lawsuits and claims.
- Conduct hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
- Prepare and present pre- and post-trial motions effectively.
- Collaborate with colleagues to resolve calendar conflicts.
- Provide legal counsel to business clients on everyday legal matters.
- Manage projects and foster coordination among legal teams.
- Monitor new laws and regulations, providing proactive legal advice.
Requirements
- Juris Doctorate with active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
- 4+ years of litigation experience or strong litigation-type skills.
- Preferred experience as first or second chair in jury trials.
- Experience in insurance defense is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research tools.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Ability to handle a significant case load in a remote environment.
