Server (Full-Time) Eataly Don Mills

Eataly Don Mills is the third Toronto location and is opening in Spring 2024. Located in CF Shops at Don Mills, it will span 10,000 square feet and will offer an array of iconic Eataly experiences, showcasing the brand’s high-quality and authentic Italian DNA. Eataly Don Mills will feature arestaurant with outdoor seating, an all-day café with housemade pastries, and a specialty market with a carefully chosen selection of Italian and local delicacies.

Job Description

A Server coordinates the entire service station and communicates with front of the house and back of the house personnel to provide a dining experience that exceeds guest expectations. Reports to the Restaurant Manager.

• Greets guests and presents them with the menu
• Informs guests of specials, menu changes, answers questions regarding food, beverages and allergies
• Receives food and beverage orders from guests and relays to kitchen staff and bartender using a POS system
• Communicates with the hosts, table support team, kitchen staff and bartenders to coordinate stations
• Presents, opens and pours wine and beer when serving guests
• Assists table support team with stocking work stations, removing and resetting used dishes/silverware
• Assists with cash register at counter-service restaurants
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Knowledge of the sequence of service and dining room procedures
• Basic math skills
• SmartServe Certfied

Job Requirements

• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
