Service Operations Manager NY/GTA

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage the Field Service team


• Providing proper documentation of all work, including service reports and expense reports


• Responds to customer technical inquiries with a high degree of troubleshooting skills


• Schedules and manages Service Technicians and Engineers for start-up, warranty and non-warranty service. Assure adherence to Davis-Standard terms and conditions


• Maintains the customer service database and records customer complaints for the purpose of tracking and reporting equipment failures


• Responsible for maintaining a relationship with all customers and within all business groups that is positive and sales oriented


• Determines warranty responsibilities for service and parts


• Works on administrative projects as directed.

 Skills/Requirements:

• Must possess a high degree of skill with PLC’s, MMI’s, computer hardware, computer communications, AC and DC drives and all extrusion electrical control systems


• Must have working knowledge of Excel and Word


• Knowledge of extrusion systems


• Ability to interact and deal effectively with customers using excellent interpersonal communication skills
