We are currently accepting applications for the following position located at the Diavik Diamond Mine.

Service Operator II (Water Treatment Plant Operator)

As part of the overall HSE Team, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting the Service Operators II & III with the operation of the following plants at the Diavik mine site: mine wastewater treatment plant, potable water treatment plant & sewage treatment plant


• Assisting with maintenance of fluid handling systems

Qualifications:

• Class II Water Treatment Certificate and Class I Water and Wastewater Treatment Certificate


• Small Water Systems & Chlorine Handling Certificates


• 1-3 years experience in water/wastewater treatment or related trade experience
  


• Experience with filtration, coagulation and flocculation water treatment facilities


• Experience with aerobic digestion sewage treatment facilities
  

This position will require security and medical clearances for the remote camp site.

This position requires an individual with proven ability to work in a cross cultural, diverse environment demonstrating cultural awareness and sensitivity.  Candidates must be open and flexible to perform other duties as required.  The ability to speak the Tłı̨chǫ language is considered an asset.  

This is full-time employment working on a rotational schedule of 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off in a remote camp site setting; 12-hour shifts.
