About Us

McArthur River, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mine. The uranium produced at McArthur River is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future. 

Position and Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of mobile equipment to maintain the site roads and airport in a safe and effective manner.


• Luggage handling, aircraft de-icing and snow removal.


• Assist in training and monitoring junior operators.


• Provide support to other departments on site.


• Report equipment failures and test equipment after maintenance repairs.


• Team player with strong communication skills.

Education and Qualifications

Requirements of the position:

• grade 12 diploma or equivalent;


• three to five years of relevant work experience;


• equivalent combination of education and work experience considered;


• valid Class 5 driver’s license;


• experience on loader, bus, skid steer, vac and garbage truck, grader, dozer, rock truck, and excavator;


• willingness to perform manual labour as required; and


• work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft

Assets:

• valid class 1A driver’s license.

Conditions of Employment:

• pre-employment substance test.

Preference will be given to Residents of Saskatchewan’s North (RSN).
