Sexual Violence Prevention and Response (SVPR) Director

Honorarium Position

Overview

The Sexual Violence Prevention and Response (SVPR) Director leads initiatives to improve SVPR policies, programming, and awareness within ASUS and Queen’s University. They chair a task force composed of DSC presidents, ASUS volunteers, faculty, and administration to implement meaningful changes and city-wide initiatives. The Director fosters relationships with key stakeholders to ensure ASUS policies align with best practices in sexual violence prevention and response.

Time Commitment and Remuneration

Term: May 1st, 2025 – April 30th, 2026

Hours: 4-6 hours per week

Honorarium: Awarded based on the Honorarium Grid in the Human Resources Policy (Click here)

Responsibilities

  • Chair and coordinate an SVPR task force, creating subcommittees for targeted initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Queen’s Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Office, Human Rights and Equity Office, and city officials.
  • Collaborate with the Human Resources Office to update ASUS harassment and discrimination policies.
  • Meet with the Sexual Assault Centre Kingston each semester to amplify resources and support their initiatives.
  • Review and refine SVPR policies to ensure clarity, accessibility, and equity.
