Sheet Metal Fabrication Lead

PAY: $26.25 per hour

OVERVIEW

We are looking for a skilled Sheet Metal Fabrication Lead Hand with experience in sign fabrication. This leadership role requires the ability to guide a team, manage multiple projects, and ensure high-quality production outcomes.

This is a full-time position based in Orillia working 42 hours per week Monday to Thursday 7AM to 4:45PM and Friday 7AM to 12PM with the possibility for voluntary overtime.

This role is eligible for group benefits after completing 2 months of employment and a boot allowance after completing the 3 month probationary period.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead a team on multiple jobs


• Train team members on safe and efficient operation of brakes, shears, and other tools


• Review drawings and specifications


• Provide clear direction to team members


• Perform quality inspections and validate specifications

 QUALIFICATIONS and COMPETENCIES

• Experience in sign fabrication is required


• Leadership or lead-hand experience preferred


• Proficiency in using brakes, shears, and related equipment


• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings


• Strong leadership, communication, and team-coordination skills


• Basic understanding of ERP systems an asset


• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
