Shipper/Receiver, Processing Facilities

• Receiving: Unload, inspect, and verify incoming goods against invoices or packing lists, recording shortages and damaged goods.
• Shipping: Pack, crate, and prepare items for outgoing shipment; select appropriate shipping methods and carriers.
• Documentation: Create bills of lading, invoices, and customs forms manually or using computer systems.
• Inventory & Logistics: Move materials to designated storage areas, maintain inventory records, and update warehouse management systems.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other lifting equipment to handle materials.
• Safety & Organization: Ensure a clean, safe, and organized, workspace; comply with safety procedures and regulations. 

• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy items, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with inventory software, email, and scanning devices.
• Certification: Forklift operator license/certification is often required.
• Communication: Strong attention to detail and ability to coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments.
• Logistics Knowledge: Understanding of shipping procedures and documentation.
