General Description
This position supports our warehouse logistics operations including receiving inventory, processing shipments, and maintaining accurate records of incoming and outgoing goods. Verify and keep records of incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Accurately count, record, and scan inventory for discrepancies. Perform unpacking, put aways, and picking tasks. Load and unload trucks and arrange for the transportation of products.
This is an on-site role at our warehouse at 6700 Millcreek Drive, Mississauga, ON L5N 8B3;
Job Duties / Responsibilities
Determine method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures and rates
Create daily shipping reports; create and print picking slips; and file all paperwork in proper file cabinets
Receive, unpack, and examine incoming shipments; reject damaged items, record shortages, and arrange to rectify damages and shortages
Utilize RF scanners to accurately perform order picking and put aways
Maintain an accurate log sheet of daily moves and inventory; count accurately
Ensure that all shipments are sent out and/or received in a timely fashion
Track, trace, and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments
Promptly load and unload trucks
Engage with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude
Communicate with our purchasing/sales department to resolve issues promptly
Participate in regular inventory count
Maintain a clean and neat warehouse and surrounding area
Breakdown boxes and recycle in the compactor
Follow safety procedures and company policies, including use of personal protective equipment
Other related duties as assigned
Requirements / Skills
High attention to details
Excellent organizational skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software and Excel
Educational Requirements
High School Graduate or Equivalent
Compensation
Expected Compensation: $35,000 - $48,000 per year. Compensation will be determined based on the experience, skills and qualifications and falls within the expected range for this role.
