Job Description - Site Crushing Construction Manager - PL#34812

Peter Lucas Project Management invests in people, community, and cutting-edge technology to provide gold standard project delivery. We are currently looking for a Site Crushing Construction Manager to join our team.

 As Crushing Construction Manager, you will oversee the planning, execution, and performance of crushing operations within our construction and earthworks projects. You’ll manage resources, equipment, staff, and safety to achieve production targets, maintain quality, and deliver on schedule and budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage crushing operations including mobile crushers, screeners, conveyors, bulk material handling, etc.
  • Plan and schedule crushing & earthworks projects: develop timelines, construction milestones, resource allocation and monitor progress.
  • Oversee the procurement of materials, parts, and supplies; ensure equipment is well-maintained and downtime minimized.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop staff: operators, mechanics, foremen, QC personnel.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols, environmental and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain quality control: ensure material produced meets specifications for size, gradation, and consistency.
  • Monitor costs: labor, maintenance, fuel, and other operating expenses; manage budgets and forecast.
  • Prepare and deliver reports (daily, weekly, monthly) on production, safety, costs, and project status.
  • Interact with stakeholders: subcontractors, clients, vendors, regulatory authorities.

  • Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in crushing operations / aggregate production / heavy civil construction, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Proven experience with mobile crushing plants, screens, conveyors, loaders, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of safety standards & regulations, environmental compliance.
  • Excellent communication (verbal & written), leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, problem-solve, and make decisions under pressure.
  • Proficiency with scheduling, production monitoring tools, and basic computer skills (e.g. MS Office, plant management software).
  • Valid driver’s license; other relevant certifications (e.g. heavy equipment operation, safety tickets) preferred.
