For over 25 years, Partners Development Group has been building thoughtfully planned communities in the Calgary and Okotoks areas designed to encourage healthy living and enhance family well-being. As a company, we pride ourselves on our strong culture based on family values, teamwork, and giving back to the communities in which we work and live. Through our multi-family, commercial, leasing and land development business units, we develop thriving communities where people from all backgrounds build better lives.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Site Labourer to join our Construction team on a three-month temporary basis, supporting our Upper Greenwich community in NW Calgary. This role provides hands-on labour support to keep the site clean, organized, and running smoothly, working closely with the Site Superintendent, Site Assistant, and trade partners on site. It's a great opportunity to gain real, on-the-job exposure to residential construction — no prior experience required, just a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Keep the site clean, organized, and free of debris throughout the workday.

  • Manage waste removal, material organization, and site staging.

  • Set up and take down site fencing, signage, and protective coverings as directed.

  • Receive and stage material deliveries, ensuring materials are placed safely and efficiently.

  • Assist trades with material movement, lifting, and basic site preparation tasks.

  • Support trades and the Site Assistant with hands-on labour tasks as directed.

  • Follow all site safety standards, including PPE requirements, fall protection, and hazard awareness.

  • Participate in toolbox talks and safety briefings, and report hazards or safety concerns immediately to the Site Superintendent.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Physical ability to perform manual labour, including lifting, bending, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

  • No prior construction experience required.

  • Reliable transportation to and from site.

  • Valid Class 5 driver's licence, CSTS, WHMIS, or First Aid training are assets.

Additional Requirements

  • You have a strong work ethic and are willing to take direction.

  • You're reliable and punctual, showing up ready to work every day.

  • You stay safety-conscious and attentive on site.

  • You communicate respectfully and professionally with trades and teammates.

  • You're eager to learn and build your knowledge of the construction industry.

Working Conditions

  • This is a temporary, full-time position for approximately three months, Monday to Friday.

  • Jobsite work hour window is 6 a.m. – 5 p.m., minimum 9 hours per day on site within that window; specific hours to be confirmed with the Site Superintendent.

  • Based at the Upper Greenwich project site in NW Calgary, with daily travel to and from the jobsite.

  • Physically demanding role — lifting, carrying, and prolonged standing or walking on uneven terrain, in all weather conditions.

  • CSA-approved steel-toed boots required and supplied by the employee.

What We Offer

  • Competitive hourly wage.

  • Hands-on, real-world experience in residential construction.

  • Mentorship and on-the-job learning from an experienced site team.

  • A supportive, collaborative worksite culture.
