Wage: $33.00 per hour

About Us

We are a well-established heavy equipment repair and construction company with an in-house fleet of equipment. We are currently seeking a skilled Small Engine Mechanic to maintain and repair our internal equipment.

Position Overview

The Small Engine Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining small engines and related equipment used in our landscaping and construction operations. This is a shop-based role supporting our internal fleet (not customer-facing).

There is opportunity to progress into a Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprenticeship for the right candidate who is interested in career advancement.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair small engines (gas and diesel)


• Service equipment including:
  
  
  
  • Lawn mowers, trimmers, and blowers
  
  
  • Plate compactors and generators
  
  
  • Utility trailers and light-duty trucks
  
  
  • Other landscaping and construction equipment
  
  
  
  


• Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, tune-ups, filters, belts, spark plugs)


• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues


• Maintain accurate service and maintenance records


• Ensure all equipment meets safety and operational standards


• Keep a clean, organized, and safe work area

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Small Engine Mechanic or in a similar role


• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills


• Experience with landscaping and construction equipment is an asset


• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision


• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious


• Valid driver’s license and ability to commute to and from work
