Job Description - Social Media And Content Specialist

We’re looking for a Social Media & Content Specialist who can turn the RV lifestyle into scroll-stopping, proudly Canadian content. Think: capturing epic camping moments, sharing stories from fellow travelers, going live from our dealerships, and creating content that makes people say, “That’s so us.”


This role is a mix of creativity, strategy, and community-building with lots of opportunity to learn, grow, and have fun along the way.


Bonus: you’ll be on camera too, bringing the Fraserway RV vibe to life for thousands of fellow adventurers.


Before you read further it's important to know that this is a full-time onsite position based at our flagship location in Abbotsford, BC.  Success in this position means being in the middle of the action, in front of the camera, collaborating with all departments, attending events and shows, and engaging directly with customers.  This isn't a remote position, it's all about being hands-on and in the moment. 


 Your Road Trip Itinerary (aka What You’ll Be Doing)


Plan the Route (Content Planning)



  • Build the monthly content calendar (campfire stories, epic road trip vibes, dealership highlights, seasonal moments)

  • Mix national campaigns with those “you had to be there” local stories


Capture the Adventure (Content Creation)



  • Shoot, edit, and post scroll-stopping content, short-form videos, Insta carousels, Reels, TikToks, and share-worthy captions

  • Get behind and in front of the camera (yep, you’ll be part of the fun on video)

  • Team up with dealerships, rentals, and RV lovers to share their stories


Keep the Campfire Going (Community Management)



  • Chat with followers like friends around a campfire, answering questions, hyping them up, and keeping the convo fun

  • Jump into RVing communities online and spread those “Fraserway feels”


Fuel the Fun (Campaigns & Collabs)



  • Help launch giveaways, influencer collabs, and user-generated content that make people say, “I wanna be part of that!”

  • Work with our marketing crew and media partners to sync organic + paid social


Track the Mileage (Performance & Reporting)



  • Keep tabs on engagement, followers, reach, and conversions

  • Share wins, lessons, and ideas to level up our social game


Stay Ahead of the Curve (Trends & Innovation)



  • Keep your finger on the pulse of social media trends, Instagram updates, and new tools

  • Pitch new ideas and experiment with fresh content formats


Protect the Vibe (Brand Voice & Standards)



  • Make sure every post, video, and reply feels on-brand, on-tone, and proudly Canadian

  • Keep our digital assets neat and organized (no one likes losing the perfect campfire shot)


 What You’ll Bring to the Campsite



  • A couple years of trail time in social media, content creation, or digital marketing (bonus points if it’s in RVs, autos, or lifestyle brands)

  • A creative toolkit: you know your way around Canva, TikTok editing, maybe some Adobe magic (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects)

  • A natural storyteller’s eye, whether it’s snapping that golden hour shot, writing captions with personality, or cutting a Reel that makes people stop scrolling

  • On-camera confidence: you’re cool hopping into a video, chatting to followers, and bringing the brand to life with your personality

  • Organizational skills that keep you on track even when juggling multiple projects (like planning a road trip with lots of stops)

  • Trend-spotting instincts: you’re the friend who always knows the latest TikTok sound before it blows up

  • Community vibes: you know how to engage, connect, and keep conversations fun and positive

  • An outdoorsy spirit, whether you’re a seasoned RVer, a weekend camper, or just someone who loves being outside
