Description of Duties:


  • Content Planning and Strategy:



    • Develop monthly content calendars aligned with marketing goals and brand guidelines.

    • Collaborate with the marketing team to generate content ideas and campaigns.

    • Research industry trends and competitor activities to inform content strategies.



  • Scheduling and Posting:



    • Use social media management tools like Meta Suite to schedule and publish posts across various platforms.

    • Ensure content is posted at optimal times for maximum engagement.



  • Engagement and Community Management:



    • Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and mentions.

    • Respond promptly and professionally to comments, messages, and inquiries.

    • Engage with followers and build a positive community around the brand.



  • Analytics and Reporting:



    • Track and analyze social media performance using analytics tools.

    • Prepare regular reports on key metrics such as engagement, reach, and follower growth.

    • Provide insights and recommendations for improving social media strategies based on data analysis.


  • Skills Required:

  • Social Media Management:



    • Experience using social media management tool - Meta Suite

    • Familiarity with scheduling posts and managing multiple social media accounts.



  • Communication Skills:



    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Ability to craft compelling and professional responses to comments and messages.



  • Analytical Skills:



    • Proficiency in using social media analytics tools to track performance (e.g., Instagram Analytics, Meta Insights).

    • Ability to analyze data and provide actionable insights.



  • Organizational Skills:



    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.



  • Attention to Detail:



    • High attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency in all social media activities.

    • Ability to proofread and edit content before posting.


  • Skills Gained/Related Careers:

  • Data Analysis:



    • Proficiency in analyzing social media metrics and deriving actionable insights.

    • Experience with data-driven decision-making.



  • Brand Management:



    • Experience in maintaining and enhancing brand identity through social media.

    • Ability to manage and promote brand reputation online.



  • Project Management:



    • Ability to manage multiple projects and campaigns simultaneously.

    • Skills in prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.



  • Communication:



    • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.

    • Proficiency in crafting messages tailored to different audiences and platforms.


  • Age: 18-30, 31-54, 55+

    Time Commitment: Remote Volunteering ,  Flexible Hours

    Location of volunteer opportunity: Winnipeg
