Role Overview…

We are building holographic displays and need your expertise to help us test our code to identify and resolve bugs, glitches, and any other issues that might turn up. As a QA Tester, you will work alongside our software team to ensure that our code is top-notch by performing tests, communicating the results with our team, and working collaboratively to fix any issues you uncover.

A Day In The Life…

● Execute test plans and perform exploratory testing on holographic display hardware, as well as more traditional desktop hardware.

● Expand and refine existing test plans to ensure they: continue to reflect stakeholder priorities, exercise likely points of failure, and are brief enough to execute frequently.

● Report errors and failures accurately and with appropriate details.

● Attempt to reproduce and characterize issues discovered by customers.

● Work collaboratively with the development team to understand errors.

● Help Systems engineers classify the severity of issues and whether they should block a release.

● Review and analyze software and system requirements.

● Identify and isolate errors and bugs in code.

● Identifying duplicate issues, and generally keeping a bug tracking system organized.

● Providing feedback to the team about user experience.

What Will Help You Be Successful…

● 2+ years of experience as a QA Tester or in a related field

● Strong written and verbal communication skills

● Diploma in software development or equivalent experience

● Knowledge of various programming languages, and or game engines (e.g. C++, Python, Unity, Unreal)

● Experience using project tracking software considered a strong asset (e.g: JIRA)

● Experience using version control systems (ex: Git or Mercurial) would be considered an asset

● Ability to work autonomously and in a team

● Keen attention to detail

● Ability to solve complex problems
