Wage/Salary Range: Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications

Shift Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off

Hours Per Day: 12-hour shifts

Job Overview:
GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Sour Gas Plant Operator to join our Valued Client’s team in a first-class steam sour gas plant. This is a permanent, full-time position ideally suited to an individual committed to operational excellence, safety, and reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor sour gas processing equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety and environmental standards.

• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of plant systems and equipment.

• Record and analyze operational data, adjusting plant operations as needed to meet production requirements.

• Collaborate with maintenance teams and supervisors to address operational issues promptly.

• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company safety policies.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate (3rd Class preferred).

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in sour gas plant operations.

• Strong knowledge of steam plant operations and safety procedures.

• Must reside within one hour of the plant location or be willing to relocate (transportation provided from Whitecourt, Edson, and Fox Creek).

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3rd Class Power Engineer Certificate.

• Previous experience working with sulphur recovery processes.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment:

• Industrial sour gas plant setting with exposure to high-pressure systems and hazardous materials.

• PPE and safety training provided.

• Transportation provided from designated pick-up locations.
