Job Description - Sous Chef

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. If you have a strong background in food handling, kitchen operations, and team management, we would love to hear from you.


Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing all aspects of food preparation and production
- Ensure that all food is prepared according to recipes and quality standards
- Supervise and train kitchen staff in proper food handling techniques and safety procedures
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and specials
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Monitor kitchen equipment and report any maintenance or repair needs
- Assist with scheduling and managing kitchen staff shifts
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations


Skills:
- Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation and cooking techniques
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Ability to effectively supervise and lead a team of kitchen staff
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality food presentation
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with the kitchen team

Job Type: Full-time


Pay: $45,000.00-$48,000.00 per year

Licence/Certification:
