UW IIE Conference Planning Team - Competitions/Workshops

Being a member of the UW IIE Conference Planning Team is an important role with significant responsibility and requires a noteable time commitment. The Competitions and Workshops Team will be primarily responsible for organizing all daytime content of the conference. All competitions and seminars/ workshops will fall under this group. This will be a closely knit team with strong communication, and detailed planning. The Competitions/ Workshop team will organize and coordinate their content before the conference, and will ideally keep the plan on track during the weekend. Our objective is to seamlessly organize and execute all competitions and workshops, along with coordinating all speakers/ judges logistics. We are looking for outgoing, team oriented Coordinators who feel comfortable handling the content side of the 2016 IIE Waterloo Conference.

Speakers Coordinator

In this position, you will work closely with the rest of the Competitions/Workshops Team and Sponsorship Organizers to handle speaker/ judges logistics.This position will be best served by an organized, punctual individual who feels comfortable communicating with industry professionals to coordinate logistics. We are looking for someone who is motivated and full of ideas. Once speakers are confirmed, you will reach out to and coordinate their availability, timing, and planned speech content for workshops. Speakers will be coming to the conference from a variety of distances and may require hotel rooms. The Speaker Coordinator will assure that all speakers/ judges logistics, accommodations and scheduling is handled in a timely manner and all communication is professional.
