Position Title: Specialist, Career & Employment and Client Care Navigator
Location: Regina, SK or Saskatoon, SK
Term: Full-time, Contract (Existing Vacancy)
Reports To: Provincial Manager, Healthcare Operations
Salary: $29.04/hour

I. Scope and Summary of Primary Responsibilities
In covering a broad range of duties, the emphasis of this position is to conduct and complete the Comprehensive Assessment of Needs (CAN) and other required assessments, and to identify and coordinate the service needs for all individuals requiring vision rehabilitation services. This position provides employment counselling to assist people with vision loss to gain and maintain employment; and to develop and support post-secondary individualized employment goals.
II. Essential Functions
The position entails, but is not limited to the following general responsibilities:
· Coordinates appropriate internal and external referrals to rehabilitation professionals within VLR SK and the community to assist clients in achieving their personal and vocational goals.
· Provide assessment and adjustment to vision loss counselling for individuals; provide resource and supportive counselling to individuals and/or groups and their families, as required
Employment:
· Maintains all case data and Labour market documentation consistent with VLRC systems and procedures.
· Assists individuals in employment preparation, skills training, job search, and job maintenance; and refers to community agencies for additional resources.
· Initiates and completes registration and administration for government funding and supports consistent with funding agreements.
· Works in partnership with employers to develop accommodation plans.
· Maintains contact with existing employers and outreaches to prospective employers.
· Performs administrative duties including but not limited to service tracking, benchmarking, report writing, government applications, etc.
· Maintains file of current Labour market information.

Applied Counseling, or an equivalent field.
