Job Description - Specialist, Rewards(Contract)

Role Description



Your Role: 




The Specialist, Rewards will be responsible for benefits and administration support activities. This role oversees and manages the day-to-day administration of employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations in both the United States and Canada. This role will also provide support for HR operations related tasks.  




 




This is a 12-month contract opportunity, reporting to the Director, Rewards North America.    




 




Your Responsibilities: 






  • Day-to-day management of health and retirement benefits for both US and Canadian plans.  








  • Conduct data audits to maintain the accuracy and integrity of benefits-related information across systems.  








  • Coordinate the timely and accurate processing of invoices related to benefit plans.  








  • Perform regular plan maintenance, including communication with plan providers, implementing updates, and addressing issues to ensure plan effectiveness and employee satisfaction.  








  • Lead the administration and tracking of all leave of absence, including  FMLA, STD, applicable state leaves, workers compensation, reasonable accommodations.  Advising employees of the process. 








  • Develop, update, and maintain HR and benefits-related policy documents ensuring alignment with legal requirements, industry best practices, and organizational goals. 








  • Providing support and guidance to employees on general HR and benefits related inquiries 








  • Responsible for completing assigned projects, such as: the creation of work instructions on key HR operational processes, updating benefit guides, etc. 








  • Support of offboarding of employees 








  • Administers the LEO Pharma Wellness Program, promoting employee well-being through initiatives, events, and activities designed to enhance physical, mental, and emotional health within the organization. 








  • Develop strong working relationships with key vendors and internal stakeholders. 








  • Ensure compliance with appropriate SOP’s, policies and guidelines. 








  • Participate in personal development and training sessions as required for the position.

Your Qualifications: 






  • BA/B.S required; relevant HR certification (PHR/SHRM-CP/CHRP/CHRL) preferred. 








  • 4+ years of benefits and/or HR operations experience required, pharmaceutical experience preferred. 








  • Prior experience in an HR role preferred. 








  • Ability to successfully influence across all levels of the organization without authority. 








  • Strong knowledge of HR policies/procedures and U.S. and Canadian employment laws and regulations preferred. 








  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive issues tactfully. 








  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 








  • Strong computer skills including MS Office especially Excel. 








  • Excellent multi-tasking skills; ability to prioritize and perform a variety of concurrent tasks with minimal direction. 








  • Strong verbal/written communication. 








  • Flexibility and a willingness to take on varied responsibilities as needed to support evolving business priorities. 








  • Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. 






 




The base salary range for this position is $85,000- $104,000 CAD per year. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the LEO Pharma range for this position. Salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
