The Opportunity

Vermilion Energy has an exciting opportunity for a Foreman in the Drayton Valley area. You will provide technical and operational leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and regulatory-compliant production operations. The position supports field operators through hands-on leadership, regular field presence, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet production, cost, and safety objectives.

What you will do

• Achieve HSE, Budget, Production and Regulatory KPI’s 

• Champion HSE performance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (AER, ABSA, OH&S)

• Lead and mentor operational staff, with regular time spent in the field

• Optimize production performance by reducing downtime and improving well and facility operations

• Monitor operating parameters, production volumes, and data integrity in field systems

• Prepare weekly production variance reports and support operating budget planning and accruals

• Provide on-call and emergency response support at the district level

• Work closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Accounting, Land, Marketing, HSE, and Joint-venture partners

• Manage the field chemical program in collaboration with Engineering and Asset Integrity

• Work with third parties including other producers, landowner, regulators, and one calls.

What you will bring

• 10-15 years of relevant industry experience as a Lead Operator and/or Foreman

• Proven leadership capabilities

• Formal operational and safety training including: First Aid / CPR, H2S Alive,

• Proven and demonstrated commitment to HSE expectations and requirements

• Software experience in field data capture (Prodview), SCADA and well optimization programs.

• Proven success in the ability to be flexible and adapt to change

• Must reside within a maximum of 50 km of the Drayton Valley office

Location and other Key Details

• You will work at our Drayton Valley office and support the Deep Basin operations

• This position is safety sensitive

• This is a permanent, salaried position
