Job Description - Stadium Operations & Events Technician

The Stadium Operations & Events Technician plays a key role in supporting stadium preparation to ensure it is game-day ready and operating smoothly. This is a highly hands-on position focused on physical labour, problem-solving, and contributing to the setup, execution, and teardown of games and events. You’ll be part of the crew that fixes, builds, moves, paints, lifts, and prepares which often happens behind the scenes, but is essential to the fan experience. 

This role requires flexibility, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to jump in wherever help is needed, especially leading up to and during game days. 

Term: May 5, 2026 – December 11, 2026 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with game-day field set-up, in-game operations, and post-game teardown 
  • Support field preparation activities, including field painting for games and special events 
  • Assist with event set-up and tear-down for stadium events such as Party in the Park and other activations 
  • Operate equipment and machinery including forklifts and other stadium equipment (training provided as needed) 
  • Perform basic repairs and troubleshooting on equipment such as generators, inflatable fans, and event assets 
  • Support general stadium maintenance, repairs, and manual labour tasks 
  • Assist with loading, unloading, moving, and staging equipment and materials 
  • Identify and problem-solve operational issues quickly and safely 
  • Travel to support off-site or out-of-town events as required 
  • Work collaboratively with Stadium Operations, Game Entertainment & Community, and other departments 
  • Complete other duties as assigned to support overall stadium operations 

 

What You’ll Need:   

  • A self-motivated, hardworking individual who takes pride in physical work 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment 
  • Willingness to take initiative and go beyond assigned tasks when needed 
  • Valid driver’s license  
  • Ability to safely operate heavy machinery, including forklifts (or willingness to be trained)  
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and equipment 
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs, stand or work on your feet for extended periods, and work long hours 
  • Availability to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays 
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
