Reporting to our Global Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant will be responsible for:
Competencies – What We are Looking For
Technical Chops- You have a solid grounding in accounting principles and are eager to deepen your experience in a SaaS or technology-driven environment. You are comfortable working with the chart of accounts, preparing reconciliations, and understanding how transactions flow through the financial statements. Experience with accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite or other ERP systems), Excel, and month-end close processes is strongly preferred.
Pro-Active, Self-starter: It bothers you when people do not follow through on their commitments. You regularly demonstrate the ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritize workload and achieve effective results. You can tell us about times when you have rolled up your sleeves, taken ownership of a body of work and delivered the results on time and with minimal support.
You have the initiative to find problems… and deliver the solutions: You do not accept mediocrity.
If you see a process or transaction flow that can be improved or optimized, you take the initiative to find out root causes and propose changes. You can provide a step-by-step plan for how to automate or improve a process or workflow.
Comfortable in Changing, Ambiguous Environments: You are able to navigate uncertainty and shifting conditions with confidence and resilience. You are comfortable operating in environments marked by ambiguity, rapid change, and evolving priorities.
Communicate Collaboratively: You work well with others across Finance and the broader organization. You communicate clearly, document your work, and understand the importance of transparency and teamwork—especially in a remote environment. You communicate well and know that shared information is the only way to make the team successful. Experience with communicating across many time zones and across the globe would be an asset.
