The Lethbridge Police Service is currently accepting applications for a permanent full-time Strategic Intelligence Analyst. Reporting administratively to the Staff Sergeant in Charge, Combined Forces Special Enforcement Section (CFSEU), the successful candidate will support the Criminal Intelligence Service Alberta/Northwest Territories (CISA/NWT) and receive day-to-day operational direction from the CISA/NWT Director and/or Analyst Supervisor. The position remains an employee of the Lethbridge Police Service while working collaboratively within the CISA/NWT intelligence network.
The Strategic Intelligence Analyst is responsible for the collection, integration, analysis, evaluation, and dissemination of strategic criminal intelligence relating to organized and serious crime affecting Alberta, the Northwest Territories, and Canada. The position develops intelligence products and analytical assessments that support intelligence-led policing, operational priorities, resource allocation, organizational decision-making, investigative direction, and long-term public safety planning.
Working within a complex multi-agency environment, the Strategic Intelligence Analyst collaborates with municipal, provincial, federal, Indigenous, and government partners to identify emerging threats, organized crime groups, criminal networks, criminal markets, evolving crime trends, and intelligence gaps requiring further collection or analysis.
This permanent full-time position falls under the protection of a collective agreement associated to the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local 70 contract. CUPE Local 70 represents employees employed in number of civic departments within the City of Lethbridge.

Wage: $49.00 per hour |2026 Rate.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (Flexible/Compressed Work Week is available)
