    TheStudent Project Coordinatorwill be responsible for working with the Project Manager to ensure the participation of cross-functional stakeholders in furthering project goals. With organization and prioritization skills, this candidate will organize the necessary pieces to ensure project success.This 8-month Co-op will commence January 2023.

    • Monitor and co-ordinate activities with the client, subcontractors & other consultants.
    • Assist the project team with the initial mobilization and setup of the construction site.
    • Equipment tracking, monitor performance, provide feedback to the Project Manager.
    • Assist in the resolution of design issues, change requests, material defects and equipment problems.
    • Manage all project administration activities including payroll, timekeeping, labour coding, equipment coding, purchase-order coding and safety reporting.
    • Ensure compliance with Chandos health and safety training and reporting requirements.
    • Perform periodic field inspections of projects both prior to and during construction to determine compliance with approved plans and regulations at the request of inspectors.
    • Co-ordinate the permit process as assigned
    • Read, interpret and understand construction drawings and specifications, AHJ codes and ordinances regarding building codes, permit issuance and permit fees.
    • Track and review project proposals of change and change orders.
    • Perform other duties that may be assigned as necessary.

      • Travel to site and off-site locations is required.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, and attention to detail
      • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
      • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite
