FNTI deliversprogramminglocallythroughitsmaincampus in TyendinagaonOntario’sbeautifulBayofQuinte, as well as in numerouscommunitylocationsthroughoutOntario.
Description:
The Student SuccessFacilitator (SSF) is the firstandon-goingpointofcontactforlearners, followingtheiradmission to programs, as specificallyassigned by the Director, LearnerSuccessandServiceDelivery. SSF’sdevelopandmaintainsuccessfulrelationshipswithlearnersandfaculty to support students, enhancingtheirsuccessandFNTI’s profile. SSF’swill be required to effectivelyorganize all aspectsofdeliverysession set-upincludingattendingsessionsand to provide support to studentsandfaculty. The SSF alsoassistswithadmissions/recruitment in the conversioncontinuum (prospectivestudentsfromapplicant to registered student).
FNTI iscurrentlyhiring a Student SuccessFacilitatorfor a JournalismCertificate program. Thispositionwill be HYBRID. Remote/Manitoulinandother TBD locations.
Responsibilities:
Establishandsustain student relationships by maintainingon-goingcommunicationwithstudentsofassignedcohorts; assisting them with all course/program relatednon-academicissues, responding to enquiriesbetweensessions, aligningappropriateresources, etc.
Forwarding information to the Records Office such as confirmed class lists and attendance in a timely manner.
Organizingandleading student relationshipbuildingthroughculturalactivitiessuch as; feasts, crafting, virtual clubsandspaces, assistingwithceremonies, etc.
Responding to general program enquiry as partofadmissionsprocess, includingenquirieswithregard to partner admissionsprocesses;
Post offer/enrolment, maintainfrequentcontactwithstudents, answeringenquiriesandproviding program informationup to the start of the firstsession;
Set upaspectsofsession/delivery; orderbooks, otherlearningmaterials; instructionaltechnicalsupplies; projector, television, PowerPoint, snacks, transports or arranges to havematerialsdeliveredwhenapplicable.
Provideslast minute logisticalsupport as required; photocopies, break-outrooms;
Liaisewithothermembersof the Program Teamand FNTI staff;
Otherduties as assigned
Qualifications:
Relevant 2-year diploma with experience, preferably in an Indigenous educational environment, or a combination of education, training and experience which FNTI deems to be equivalent;
Ability to facilitate virtual classroomsthrough the useofonlineplatforms
