Exciting seasonal employment opportunities for summer 2024 exist in Harbourfront Centre Camps , one of Toronto’s largest, most diverse and creative day camps. We are currently looking to bring on board aDance Specialistto prepare and plane dance workshops is respective camps.
Position Title: Dance Specialist
Department: Recreational Learning
Type of Employment: Part-time, Contract
Hours of Work: Monday-Friday, 15-20 hours per week
Working under the direction of Assistant Manager – Recreational Learning, the Dance Specialist is responsible for daily execution of dance workshops in the respective camps: Kinder Explorers; Curiosity; Active Kids; Creative Arts; Dance, Dance, Dance; Movin’ and Groovin’; Pop Star; Musical Theatre and others as scheduled. The Dance Specialist will set-up, deliver programming and clean-up their scheduled workshop. In addition, the Dance Specialist will collaborate with the staff of respective camps to ensure programming meets our programming promise.
Candidates will have experience leading dance programming with children and youth. Candidates should also have the ability to facilitate and lead enriching workshops while promoting health, safety and participation of campers. As the Dance Specialist, a commitment to artistic exploration through personal practice and an ability to convey passion for the arts is encouraged.
