The Opportunity
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Care (DoC), this position has direct leadership responsibility over the C3 day programs and clinics and is responsible for daily operations and unit-level decisions, as well as direct supervision of professional and support staff. The Supervisor, C3 Operations works in cooperation with the DoC in ensuring long-range plans and outcomes meet clients’ needs, in ensuring operational and clinical activities support the vision, mission and business plan of Carewest. This position provides supervision, support, and operational leadership to all C3 staff.
This position is the contact person for coordination of ongoing education for all staff within the Program in collaboration with Education Services. The Supervisor, C3 Operations leads change, facilitates teamwork, addresses performance issues, is responsible for coordination of the C3 day center activities (including assisting with staff scheduling), and functions as an extension of the DoC. Responsible for other related duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- RN or LPN with management experience.
- Current and active registration with professional association required.
- Current and active Basic Life Support for HCP(C) is required.
- Must have a valid Alberta Drivers License.
- Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in a health related or geriatric field in a supervisory capacity;
- Demonstrated leadership, communication skills and a professional demeanor are required;
- Experience with community programs and home care preferred;
- Understanding of adult learning needs is required;
- Experience as an educator is an asset.
