Supervisor - retail

• Supervise staff (apprentices, stages hands, design
  team, etc.)
  
• Assign sales workers to duties
  
• Hire and train or arrange for training of staff
  
• Authorize payments by cheque
  
• Order merchandise
  
• Authorize return of merchandise
  
• Establish work schedules
  
• Sell merchandise
  
• Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and
  personnel matters
  
• Resolve issues that may arise, including customer
  requests, complaints and supply shortages
  
• Organize and maintain inventory
  
• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers
  
• Manage cash
  
• Oversee payroll administration
  
• Conduct performance reviews
  
• Supervise office and volunteer staff
  
  

Requirements

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in any field.
  
• Must have 1 year to less than 2 years of
  experience in a supervisory role, supervising at least 1–2 people, with
  experience in a retail store.
  
• Must be willing to work onsite in a rural area.
  
• Must be willing to provide a Criminal Record Check.
  
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment,
  work under pressure, demonstrate attention to detail, perform a combination of sitting,
  standing, and walking, and stand for extended periods.
  
• Must be accurate, client-focused,
  have efficient interpersonal
  skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility,
  be organized, reliable, a team player, dependable,
  have excellent written
  communication, demonstrate initiative and judgement, and
  have the ability to multitask.
  
• Must be able to communicate in English.
