Job Description - Supplier Performance Manager Services and D&IS

Req ID:516434

At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling, and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, 80,000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.

Could you be the full-time Supplier Performance Manager in Saint-Bruno we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your supplier performance and operational excellence expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative and results-driven team.

You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the operational performance of key suppliers for the Rolling Stock and Components division in North America. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across Procurement, Supply Chain, and Quality departments, driving supplier accountability and overseeing issue escalation and resolution processes, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of supplier performance reviews and capacity assessments, but also lead improvement initiatives to enhance procurement maturity and drive cost reduction opportunities.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Driving the internal maintenance of Supplier Scorecards in the North America region, aligned with Domain panel strategies, Operational Supplier Performance, and Supplier Risk Assessment

  • Participating in team delivery center meetings to ensure accountability and efficient supplier issue escalation and closure

  • Coordinating supplier performance reviews in partnership with Procurement, Supply Chain, and Quality departments

  • Performing capacity and industrial assessments to ensure sustainability, monitor business continuity, and assess financial health

  • Engaging in performance reviews at supplier sites to identify key improvement and cost-reduction opportunities

  • Participating in procurement quality clinics to ensure the capitalization of lessons learned

  • Leading improvement actions to enhance procurement maturity in compliance with APSYS standards

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a Business or Engineering School

  • 2 to 5 years' experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, preferably in rail or a similar industry

  • Technical understanding of rolling stock and components products and supplier manufacturing processes

  • Knowledge of the DFQ cycle and the ability to identify areas of improvement at suppliers

  • Proficiency in monitoring and challenging operational action plans involving cross-functional teams

  • Solid to advanced experience in Lean, Quality, Methods, and supply chain activities

  • Ability to perform under pressure and maintain resilience

  • Strong communication and reporting skills, with the ability to synthesize information effectively

  • Willingness to travel for business across North America

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite

Things you’ll enjoy

Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines

  • Work with new security standards for rail signalling

  • Collaborate with transverse teams and supportive colleagues

  • Contribute to innovative projects that shape the future of mobility

  • Utilise our flexible and inclusive working environment

  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries

  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning opportunities

  • Progress towards leadership roles or other exciting career paths within Alstom

  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)

Knowledge of a language other than French is an asset to facilitate communication with our partners, suppliers, colleagues, and international clients. In Quebec, French remains the primary working language of our company.

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!

Important to note

As a global business, we’re an equal-opportunity employer that celebrates diversity across the 63 countries we operate in. We’re committed to creating an inclusive workplace for everyone.
