We are currently hiring a Supply Chain Business Analyst to join our team at our Mississauga, Ontario facility!

Salary Range: $75,000+

About the Role:
The Supply Chain Business Analyst supports the planning, ordering, and flow of inventory across HOYA Vision Canada and its global manufacturing network while driving data-driven decision making through analytics, reporting, and business systems expertise.

Working closely with the Senior Supply Chain Analyst and cross-functional business teams, this role combines operational supply chain knowledge with strong analytical and business analysis skills to improve inventory performance, optimize business processes, and support strategic decision-making.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently with complex ERP systems, identifying business information requirements, validating data, developing meaningful analysis, and collaborating with Corporate IT to implement reporting and system enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Intelligence & Analytics

• Monitor and analyze key supply chain KPIs, including inventory health, service levels, forecast accuracy, fill rate, schedule adherence, transportation performance, and supply responsiveness.
• Independently navigate ERP and reporting systems to locate, extract, validate, and analyze operational data.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and analytical models that provide actionable insights for business decision-making.
• Identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for operational improvement through detailed analysis of supply chain data.
• Evaluate inventory performance, including safety stock, months on hand (MOH), aging inventory, obsolescence, inventory turns, and financial impact.
• Present findings and recommendations to business stakeholders and management to support operational and strategic decisions.

Business Analysis & Reporting

• Work directly with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytical requirements.
• Translate business needs into functional requirements for new reports, dashboards, and system enhancements.
• Determine required data sources and validate data quality before reports are released.
• Act as the primary liaison between business users and Corporate IT for reporting and analytics initiatives.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing and validate that delivered solutions meet business requirements.
• Maintain documentation for KPIs, business rules, reporting logic, and data definitions.

Supply Chain Planning & Operations

• Execute purchasing and supply plans across HOYA's global manufacturing network while balancing customer demand, production capacity, inventory levels, and service objectives.
• Collaborate with Operations, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Procurement, and Manufacturing to align supply plans with business priorities.
• Monitor inventory levels, production constraints, and supply risks, implementing corrective actions to maintain service levels and optimize working capital.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory optimization, lead-time reduction, service reliability, and operational efficiency.
   

Transportation & Logistics

• Coordinate domestic and international transportation across parcel, LTL, air, and ocean freight.
• Monitor transportation performance and proactively resolve service disruptions.
• Analyze freight costs, carrier performance, and logistics KPIs to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Support carrier performance reviews and transportation optimization initiatives.
   

Systems & Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to automate reporting and improve business processes.
• Support ERP, reporting, and planning system enhancements.
• Collaborate with Corporate IT on new reporting capabilities, data integration, and business system improvements.
• Promote standardized reporting, data governance, and best practices across the Supply Chain organization.

Experience, Education & Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.

• 3–5 years of experience in supply chain, operations, manufacturing, inventory planning, logistics, or business analytics.

• 3-5 years of experience in the optical is a asset.

• Strong experience working with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, DVI, or similar platforms.

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Power BI.

• Experience writing SQL queries and working with large datasets is strongly preferred.

• Experience with DAX, Power Query, Python, VBA, Tableau, or similar analytical tools is considered an asset.

• Demonstrated ability to independently investigate business problems and transform data into actionable business insights.

• Experience gathering business requirements and working with technical teams to implement reporting or system enhancements.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
