Job Description - Supply Chain Manager

Blommer has been providing delicious, high-quality chocolate and cocoa products to customers since 1939. Built as a family business, we are continuing to grow and are looking for motivated and reliable associates to help in our mission of Bringing Chocolate to Life!


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Manage and direct shipping and receiving team members to ensure Blommer meets OTIF targets and clear separation of inventory accuracy.

  • Lead effort to establish and organize an efficient and effective demand planning process.

  • Analyze the demand plan at a high level to define gaps and areas that should be prioritized and communicate to Sales.

  • Manage warehouse staff to ensure inventory monthly counts are conducted in a timely manner, also verify inventory accuracy by conducting routine cycle counts

  • Serve as the S&OP liaison during customer meetings alongside Sales and communicate feedback to internal supply chain team.

  • Provide building block, using the demand plan, for the annual operating plan/budget preparation set forth by Finance.

  • Develop appropriate supply chain strategy to maximize customer satisfaction at the lowest possible cost.

  • Participate in strategic initiatives as they are developed, such as product portfolio management to rationalize for simplification and provide recommendations to sell.

  • Lead Network Optimization Process to mitigate cost and maximize service, understanding how to balance Demand with Supply.

  • Directly manage the S&OP Analyst and provide leadership for the forecasting process.

  • Provide insight and recommendations to the General Manager on major areas of improvement.

  • Provide insight and recommendations regarding health of demand pipeline to the Vice President of Sales

  • Additional responsibilities as required, determined by the General Manager

  • Operate within the core values of respect and care for others.

Physical Requirements:



  • General office environment with majority of time using computer

  • Regular exposure to plant floor, including noise, dust and variation in temperature (hot/cold)


Safety, Quality and Hygiene Requirements:



  • Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures and code of conduct

  • Comply with workplace uniform requirements and safety gear, when on the plant floor v. office


Performance Expectations:



  • Convey a positive attitude and a sense of curiosity in learning new roles and responsibilities

  • Operate with a high set of standards to produce consistent, quality-driven results

  • Respect work hours and schedules, timely attendance, and notice requirements for absences or lateness


Skills and Work Experience Requirements:



  • Five (5+) years of manufacturing, production, logistics, supply chain, finance or related experience

  • Superior MS Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point skills

  • Customer-facing experience

  • Experience in statistical forecasting

  • Previous supply chain planning within the food industry

  • Cross-functional collaboration experience including IT, Operations, Sales, R&D, & Finance

  • Project management experience

  • Power BI and advanced data analytics experience

  • Advanced MS Excel Proficiency

  • Expertise in ERP software, specifically SAP

  • Experience with CRM software, specifically Salesforce


Education:



  • Bachelor's Degree (Supply Chain, Business Management, Logistics, Mathematics/Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or related field of study)

  • CPIM, CSCP, CPF Certifications


Career Progression:

  • Career progression would align to supply chain and plant leadership roles within Blommer


A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range at the time of posting is below. The base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits. The actual base salary within the specified range is based on several factors, including but not limited to applicant's skills, prior relevant experience, education, certifications, job responsibilities, market considerations and, if applicable, the location of the position.


This role is eligible for either a discretionary annual bonus (based on company, business unit and individual performance) and/or commission-based incentives.


Salary Range $110K-133K CAD
