WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for Supply Planning Analyst - Packaging to join our team on an 15 month contract. This position will be based out of our Head Office located in Toronto.

WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE

  • Work closely with the Sourcing team in ensuring that the existing and potential new suppliers will have sufficiency to meet the demand for production inputs in terms of capability and capacity
  • Oversee product flow to ensure delivery dates are met and proper documents (i.e. invoice, packing list, BOL, etc.) are received
  • Review purchase orders against supplier invoices to ensure inventory ordered has been received
  • Update delivery status on any urgent items, backorders, or aging PO items
  • Provide delivery updates pertaining to suppliers at weekly team meetings
  • Monitor inventory levels (out of stock items, urgent items, overages) in addition to managing purchase orders and resolving issues with suppliers as necessary
  • Manage inventory review, order review, and replenishment with suppliers
  • Regularly review and assess supply parameters, replenishment parameters, and safety stock levels for Packaging materials
  • Provide regular and consistent availability, inventory, and cost KPI's
  • Optimize inventory movement by developing strategies to improve supply flow, inventory turn, and lower costs as well as remove aged / non-productive inventory of Packaging materials
  • Follow up on any inventory shipment issues or delays and ensure updates are maintained in our ERP system

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE

  • Exceptionally strong Microsoft Office skills, especially in Excel. Advanced Access and/ or SQL knowledge preferred
  • Knowledge of ERP Procurement, Production Planning and Materials Management modules
  • Advanced math, analytical, statistical skills, and strong presentation skills
  • Post-Secondary education in SCM/ Logistics/ Engineering or a related discipline
  • 1+ years of professional experience in Supply Planning field is required. Preferred in manufacturing environment
