SURGICAL COORDINATOR (INTRAOCULAR PROCEDURES) | Vancouver, BC

The wage range for this role is $23.23 - $27.87 p/hr.

Your tasks at a glance
  • You answer questions from surgeons and patients regarding intraocular procedures.
  • You maintain tracking sheets and monthly statistical reports.
  • You receive and process approval of cataract surgery by medical directors.
  • You identify and solve problems as they arise.
  • You plan, organize, and schedule patients for surgery days.
  • You are detail-oriented and work with precision and accuracy.  
  • You will be cross-trained in other technical roles such as Surgical Assistant (once initial training is complete and you are established within your role).
  • You support the organization’s Risk Management program by identifying and promptly reporting patient safety concerns, incidents, or potential risks to clinic management, to assist in the organization’s overall efforts to identify, report, and mitigate risks.  
  • You assist the Center Director with any additional tasks necessary.

  • You have excellent communication skills in English.  
  • You have experience in the healthcare field (an asset). 
  • You find it easy to connect with others and quickly build trust.
  • You have a sense of responsibility and take your role seriously.
  • You are looking for a fast-paced, dynamic work environment where your ability to work in a team and excel at multi-tasking will be an asset.
  • You are comfortable with computers, technology, and Microsoft 365 (knowledge of EMR systems is an asset).
  • You are organized, self-disciplined, and have excellent prioritization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Required: You are willing to help our partnering clinics in the Greater Vancouver Area (GVA), when needed (planning & expenses covered by Vision Group).
  • Schedule: You have flexible work availability from Monday to Friday between 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM.
