  • · Provides scheduled preventive maintenance services to contract customers in assigned area
  • · Provides on-demand corrective, 24/7 emergency, and paid services to customers in assigned area as required
  • · Provides start-up services on Translogic Systems and other Swisslog products as assigned
  • · Assists with start-up services on new Swisslog products as required, working closely with the assigned Installation Specialists
  • · Reports product quality issues to assigned Field Service Supervisor and/or Customer Care Manager and files quality reports
  • · Trains Swisslog customers on system and light maintenance operations
  • · Promotes parts orders, provides recommended parts lists to clients, and recommends inventory stocking levels to customers as required
  • · Conducts periodic customer care visits to monitor product performance and customer satisfaction
  • · Maintains accountability/inventory of assigned spare parts “crash kit” and customers’ consignment inventories when inventories are contractually maintained by Swisslog
  • · Assists all customers within assigned area with parts orders, consumables, repair and returns of defective parts, and requests for information pertaining to their systems
  • Advises Field Service Supervisor of any problems or opportunities that arise within their area of responsibility
  • Ensures that required administrative paperwork, especially Mobile Service Work Orders, Expense Reports and Downtime Reports, are properly filled out and processed in a timely manner
  • · Communicates and shares information with sales personnel and support personnel as it relates to their assigned customer base
  • · Exercises proper care and accountability of all assigned company property, be mindful in spending company’s money and resources responsibly, and exercises proper care and responsibility when working with customers’ property and/or facilities
  • · Handles by telephone or in writing, inquiries concerning the operation and troubleshooting of Swisslog systems. Assists in identifying spare parts
  • · Travels to customer sites to assist Junior Field Service Technicians in troubleshooting difficult problems or critical failures
  • · Maintains training manuals and materials to reflect current and past engineering changes as assigned/required
  • · Maintains status of all open service work orders as assigned/required
  • · Develops and implements troubleshooting aids for technical personnel to include troubleshooting manuals, videos, and other special projects, which improves customer service as assigned/required
  • A minimum of 5 years of field service experience on related electro-mechanical products
  • Post-secondary degree or equivalent college diploma in Electronics Engineering Technology is considered an asset
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams to extract necessary technical information
  • Strong computer skills and experience with PC based systems and information technologies (IT)
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and customer service skills. Ability to handle difficult situations and/or conversations
  • Must be a self-starter, well organized and able to work independently without supervision
  • Ability and willingness to lift, lower and carry objects up to 50 lbs., work from heights, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
  • MUST possess a valid driver’s license, clean drivers abstract, reliable vehicle and a valid passport
  • MUST be able to work with a flexible work/travel schedule (between 30%-70%), with 24/7 on call services, performing on site support with short notice or outside of regular business hours
  • MUST be comfortable travelling by air and car
