Role overview
We are seeking a System Engineer with demonstrated ability specializing in automation and scheduling tools such as Dollar Universe and BMC Control-M WA. This role is pivotal in enhancing our operational efficiencies and ensuring the seamless execution of automated tasks across our IT infrastructure.
What you’ll do
- Be responsible for the implementation and management of scheduling tools specifically Dollar Universe and BMC Control-M WA to optimize job scheduling and automation.
- Keep abreast of new technologies and updates in Dollar Universe and BMC Control-M WA to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with IT teams to design and deploy efficient scalable automation solutions.
- Monitor system performance solve issues and provide timely resolutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations processes and service records.
- Conduct regular audits of system security and backup procedures to ensure data integrity and compliance with industry standards.
- Train team members on the effective use of scheduling tools and standard processes in automation.
- Participate in the planning and execution of infrastructure projects contributing technical expertise and insights.
- Provide support for incident management and participate in root cause analysis for system outages.
What you bring to the role
- Must have extensive experience (5-8 years) with Dollar Universe and BMC Control-M WA.
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure including servers' databases and network systems.
- Demonstrate ability to design and implement complex automation solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Effective Interpersonal skills both written and verbal with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Familiarity with scripting languages and automation frameworks is highly desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead projects to successful completion.
