The Corporation of the City of North VancouverManager, IT SecurityRegular Full-TimeThe City of North Vancouver is the urban core of the beautiful North Shore and has a long-term vision to be ?The Healthiest Small City in the World?, with five key priorities to be a City for People, a Resilient City, a Vibrant City, a Connected City and a Prosperous City.The City of North Vancouver has an exciting full-time Manager, IT Security position to work within the Information Technology division of the Finance department.Reporting to the Senior Manager, Information Technology/Chief Information Officer, the Manager, IT Security will be responsible for the strategic direction for the IT Security program, oversight of the City?s IT Security team, and work collaboratively to provide guidance to City departments to enhance the City?s security posture. The Manager, IT Security will develop the City?s risk management framework, develop IT security standards and procedures, oversee the cyber security program (incident response, penetration testing, awareness and training), and be responsible for the development of the information technology security architecture, ensuring adequate controls are implemented and monitored. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and energetic proven Information Technology Security professional to join the progressive and innovative team. The successful candidate will have a degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or a related discipline, and several years of experience in delivery of cyber security services. Security certifications and implementation of industry frameworks like NIST, ISO would be an advantage.The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills to promote strong relationship management. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership and facilitation skills to lead project teams through IT security initiatives. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.We offer an attractive remuneration and benefits package for this exempt position, including a compressed work schedule. The salary range is $108,804 - $126,840 annually (2024 rates).
