Position: Systems Testing / QA Specialist

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced QA Specialist to lead and execute comprehensive testing strategies for complex systems across both GUI and non-GUI environments. This role focuses on ensuring application quality through manual and automated testing practices, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and maintaining compliance with accessibility and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expertise on testing strategy, test planning, tool selection, and resource estimation
  


• Plan and execute testing for large-scale systems, including integration, stress, and user acceptance testing
  


• Develop and execute test plans, test scripts, and test cases across multiple components
  


• Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing
  


• Validate system behavior under various conditions and ensure data integrity
  


• Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, and ALM
  


• Collaborate with developers and project teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  


• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, UFT, TestComplete, or Postman
  


• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
  


• Conduct performance, load, and stress testing to validate scalability
  


• Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (AODA)
  


• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and retrospectives
  


• Maintain documentation for test results, coverage, and quality metrics
  


• Support UAT activities and contribute to release documentation
  

Qualifications

Must-Have Skills

• 5–10 years of experience in QA and testing across web and mobile platforms
  


• Strong experience in manual and automation testing (functional, regression, system, integration)
  


• Hands-on expertise with Azure DevOps or similar defect tracking tools
  


• Experience developing and executing automated test scripts
  


• Strong knowledge of test planning, defect triage, and test case development
  


• Experience with performance testing (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner)
  


• Understanding of SDLC and QA methodologies
  


• Experience with accessibility testing (AODA standards)
  

Technical Skills

• Automation tools: Selenium, UFT, TestComplete, Postman
  


• Scripting: Python, JavaScript, or similar
  


• Database validation and query writing
  


• CI/CD pipeline integration
  


• Front-end technologies (HTML5, UX, accessibility tools)
  


• Development exposure (Java, Angular) is an asset
  

General Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  


• Excellent communication and documentation skills
  


• Ability to work collaboratively in Agile/Scrum environments
  


• Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  

Nice-to-Have

• Public sector or government experience
  


• Contact center systems experience
  


• Bilingual testing experience
