École Agnes Davidson serves approximately 500 students and is a single-track elementary school offering French Immersion programs for students in Kindergarten through Grade 5. Subjects

École Agnes Davidson Elementary School is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic professional educator to join their team as a Fine Arts teacher supporting students in the Music program from grade 1 to grade 5! The ideal candidate will be a dynamic team member who is eager to support a vibrant school community. The successful candidate will have a passion for supporting students in learning, be enthusiastic, flexible, and an energetic team player who:

• Has a strong understanding of the importance of Fine Arts, with a focus on Music, as it pertains to building a second language learning;
• Promotes and supports a positive French Immersion culture within the school community;
• Possess a passion and willingness to work with students outside of the classroom in an extra-curricular setting;
• Is committed to the school community with respect to professional relationships;
• Has a belief in positive collaborative practice and teamwork with the school community.

• Applicants must possess or be eligible to obtain an Alberta Teaching Certificate;
• Fluent in both French and English.

Conditions of Employment

In order to ensure and maintain a safe and secure working and learning environment, applicants new to Lethbridge School Division who are offered employment must provide:

• A police information check; including Vulnerable Sector Check from Police Services or an RCMP detachment that does not have any charges or convictions.
• A satisfactory Intervention Record Check from South Region Alberta Child and Family Services.
• Proof of photo identification, may be a valid driver’s licence, provincial identification card as issued by a licensed government registry office, valid passport or Nexus card. If one cannot be provided, a new card must be obtained and proof of application provided within three days of hire.
• Documentation of a valid Social Insurance Number in the employee’s legal name. If valid Social Insurance documentation in the current legal name can not be provided, the successful candidate will be required to obtain a new one within three days of hire.
