A global industrial manufacturing organization is seeking a Talent Attraction & Development Sr. Analyst / Specialist to join its Human Resources team in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
This role plays a key part in strengthening the organization’s salaried talent pipeline, supporting recruitment for non-unionized roles while also contributing to talent development initiatives, performance management processes, and succession planning programs.
The successful candidate will work closely with leadership teams across the site to ensure the organization continues to attract, develop, and retain high-quality talent in a complex industrial environment.
Role Overview:
The Talent Attraction & Development Sr. Analyst / Specialist is responsible for supporting the full lifecycle of salaried recruitment and talent development processes across the organization. The role focuses on building a strong pipeline of qualified professionals while helping implement programs related to performance evaluation, succession planning, and individual development planning.
This position partners with leaders across the business to ensure the organization maintains a strong, sustainable workforce capable of supporting long-term operational growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Talent Attraction & Recruitment:
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for salaried (non-unionized) roles across multiple departments
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and develop effective recruitment strategies
- Conduct candidate screening, interviews, and coordinate selection processes
- Support employment testing, offer preparation, and onboarding activities
- Maintain and strengthen the salaried talent pipeline for future hiring needs
Talent Development & Succession Planning:
- Support the implementation of career development plans and succession planning programs
- Facilitate individual development plans (IDPs) for employees across key functional areas
- Conduct development discussions with employees and support managers in talent development initiatives
- Collaborate with leadership to identify high-potential employees and future leadership candidates
Performance Management:
- Support the performance evaluation process for salaried employees
- Assist with coordination of performance review cycles including:
- self-appraisals
- manager evaluations
- feedback processes
- Provide guidance to managers on performance management best practices
- Track evaluation data and assist with reporting and analysis
Workforce Planning & Organizational Support:
- Analyze workforce structures and support organizational planning initiatives
- Monitor headcount and assist with workforce planning strategies
- Support initiatives to ensure the organization maintains a continuous pipeline of qualified professionals
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, managers, and leadership teams
- Maintain partnerships with educational institutions and external talent sources
- Collaborate with HR colleagues on broader talent and workforce initiatives
Compliance & HR Governance:
- Ensure HR activities follow internal policies, procedures, and applicable employment regulations
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive HR information
- Support HR initiatives aligned with company policies and standards
Qualifications:
Education:
- Post-secondary degree in:
- Human Resources
- Business Administration
- Industrial Relations
- Organizational Development
- (or a related discipline)
Experience:
- 5–10 years of experience in a Human Resources role focused on:
- recruitment
- talent development
- workforce planning
- performance management
- Experience supporting full-cycle recruitment for salaried roles
- Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, or energy environments is considered an asset

Work Environment:
- Monday to Friday schedule
- Standard 8-hour workday
- Based on-site in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario
- Work performed within an industrial manufacturing environment
