Communicating professionally with clients to collect missing information
Outside of tax season (May–January):
Supporting bookkeeping and junior accounting work for multiple clients
Performing bank and credit card reconciliations
Preparing and maintaining clean, audit-ready records
Assisting with trial balances, general ledgers, and working papers
Supporting GST/HST and other routine government filings
Using Excel to manage data, reconciliations, and reports
Working within modern, system-driven workflows (QBO, Dext, Profile)

1–3 years of experience in a public practice accounting firm, including exposure to at least one personal tax season
Experience preparing or supporting personal income tax returns (Profile experience is an asset)
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
Comfortable using Excel
Experience with or willingness to learn QBO, Dext, and Profile tax software
Strong attention to detail and pride in clean, accurate work
Ability to manage deadlines calmly during peak periods
Clear, professional communication skills
You’ll thrive here if you:
Enjoy working in a fast-paced public practice environment with multiple clients and competing deadlines
Are comfortable in a boutique firm with a small, collaborative team
Stay focused and organized when priorities shift and new information comes in
Like solving problems and understanding how numbers connect across a full set of records, not just completing isolated tasks
Appreciate structure, systems, and clear expectations
Are dependable, professional, and comfortable working closely with teammates and clients
Take ownership of your work and want to continue building your accounting and tax skills over time
