The Team Editor, Culture & Lifestyle will be a key driver in shaping the Toronto Star’s arts, entertainment and lifestyle coverage. This role is for a creative, high-energy editor who can spot a trend before it peaks and knows how to turn a local cultural moment into a must-read digital story. You will work with a team of reporters and writers to produce sophisticated, service-oriented and narrative journalism that captures the pulse of Toronto. Whether it's is a deep dive into the city's changing theatre landscape or a piece on a viral social trend, you will ensure our coverage is indispensable to our readers' daily lives. This role falls within the Team Editor classification in the Star’s Editorial Department and will report to the Director of Culture and Lifestyle.

Salary: $$73,515.72 - $101,881.38

This is a notice of vacancy under Article 8 of collective agreement between Toronto Star Newspapers Limited and Unifor Local 87M. The hours of work for this position will vary according to the assignment but will all conform to a standard 35-hour work week as described under the collective agreement. This position will be in Toronto.
