Job Description - Technical Director, Geotechnical

Role description:


We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Technical Director to lead our geotechnical engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geotechnical engineering, project management, and team leadership. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent technical skills and the ability to drive innovative solutions for complex geotechnical challenges.


Role accountabilities:



  • Lead and manage the geotechnical engineering team, providing technical guidance and mentorship.

  • Oversee the planning, design, and execution of geotechnical projects, ensuring they meet client requirements and industry standards.

  • Develop and implement innovative geotechnical solutions for a variety of projects, including infrastructure, commercial, and residential developments.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project solutions.

  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.

  • Maintain and enhance client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.

  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.


Qualifications & Experience:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Master’s or Ph.D. preferred).

  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in geotechnical software and analysis tools.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The salary range for this position is $114,590 - $212,810. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
