Technical Inside Sales Representative

AEM has a well-established reputation providing specialty aviation solutions. Based out of Kelowna, British Columbia, AEM is a global leader in the design, development, and manufacture of special-mission aircraft audio communication and loudspeaker systems, mission radios, avionics consoles and caution panels utilized throughout the world. We are the first FAA-certified at-the-gate airframe crack detection sensor solution for commercial airline operators. AEM is a Transport Canada approved manufacturer and is ISO9001/AS9100D registered and certified under Canada's Controlled Goods Program. We are proud of AEM’s proven offerings of unique, flexible, and customizable solutions developed in consultation with integrators and operators! We have a vertically integrated manufacturing facility, which includes research & development, product manufacturing, quality assurance, repairs, support, and sales & marketing capabilities

We are experiencing year-over-year sales growth with a revenue forecast that will outpace our current resources. We have an opening for an action-oriented, product-savvy and technical inside sales representative who is driven to grow our customer base and join our dynamic sales team in the beautiful Okanagan valley- Kelowna. If you are a self-starter with a strong sense of urgency, who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is not afraid to pick up the phone, and is always looking for the next opportunity to close a deal, then we hope to hear from you!

About the Role

  • You will focus on driving revenue by actively pursuing and closing sales. You will engage with aircraft completion centers, operators and OEMs through phone and email to offer targeted product solutions that deliver value for each customer’s operational needs.
  • You will identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling AEM products. You will execute targeted sales campaigns and follow up on marketing leads converting customer interest into sales orders.
  • You will collaborate and refer more complex customer needs to the outbound sales team on longer term sales programs.
  • You will stay up to date on industry trends and competitor offerings to best position AEM’s solutions.
  • You will collaborate daily with our sales coordinators, sales associates and the marketing team.
  • You will maintain accurate records of all activities and interactions in Salesforce CRM to support forecasting.

About the Candidate

We are seeking someone who thrives in a team-oriented environment and brings a strong mix of communication skills, technical interest, and a drive to succeed. The ideal candidate has:

  • A customer-first mindset with strong relationship-building skills.
  • A collaborative and supportive approach
  • At least 3 years of experience in inside sales or account management, with technical or avionics products.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort with cold calling.
  • High technical aptitude and an eagerness to understand and explain complex solutions.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Experience using CRM platforms (Salesforce experience is a plus).
  • Completion of a formal sales training program is an asset.
