Job Description - Technical Project Manager, Business Technology (Vancouver)

As a Project Manager within the Business Technology team, you will play a central role in driving various complex, cross-functional technical initiatives from concept through successful execution, including Anthem’s ERP platforms (Yardi, NewStar), CRM platform (HubSpot) and other applications as needed. You will be reporting to the Senior Manager, Technical Project Delivery.

You will partner closely with various business stakeholders to translate business needs into structured project plans, manage risks, maintain visibility into progress, and ensure high-quality delivery.  This role requires a balance of technical acumen, structured project management, and clear communication to turn strategic goals into actionable, measurable outcomes.

You will

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring scope, timeline, and quality objectives are met.

  • Collaborate with the business stakeholders (e.g., Property Management, Finance, Accounting) to define project requirements, milestones, dependencies, priorities and success metrics.

  • Ensure stakeholder expectations are managed effectively and outcomes align with business objectives.

  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and documentation that support informed decision-making and transparent progress tracking.

  • Facilitate cross-functional communication between business teams, technical teams and vendors; providing clear status updates and surfacing risks, blockers, or resource needs.

  • Identify and manage project risks, dependencies and issues, driving timely resolutions and mitigation strategies.

  • Assist in testing strategy and execution (UAT coordination, defect tracking, validation of business requirements).

  • Collaborate with vendors and third-party partners, supporting implementation efforts, issue resolution, and contract deliverables.

  • Ensure alignment with broader platform roadmaps and portfolio priorities, escalating conflicts or constraints as needed.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery frameworks, tools, and governance practices across initiatives.

  • Champion best practices in agile, waterfall or hybrid methodologies, adapting to project needs.

You have

  • 3–5 years of experience managing large projects, preferably with exposure to ERPs, CRMs and other enterprise level applications.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

  • Strong understanding of real estate operations and accounting workflows (e.g., leasing, property management, financial reporting).

  • Proven ability to gather and translate business requirements into structured documentation and actionable plans.

  • Experience managing system implementations, upgrades, or integrations, including vendor coordination.

  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, systems integration, and data workflows.

  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Asana, Microsoft Planner, Azure DevOps etc.

  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies and the ability to adapt delivery approaches.

  • Experience supporting testing cycles (UAT), release management, and production rollouts.

  • Familiarity with change management principles and supporting user adoption in system implementations.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with comfort navigating ambiguity and driving decisions.

  • PMP, Agile, or change management certifications (e.g., Prosci) are considered assets but not required.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and stakeholder communication (Power BI is an asset).

  • A commitment to fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team environment.

We have

  • Great, diverse, authentic people!

  • Unlimited career growth opportunities

  • Mentorship from the ‘best in the biz’
