Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Swim Team - Head Coach, the technical specialist will be expected to assist the head coach in the implementation of performance and development initiatives and with other related functions that will help ensure the success of the swimming student-athletes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Acts as primary coach for the sprinters
  • Create programming for the sprinters
  • Prepare and be present at 5 workouts per week
  • Attend all swim meets
  • Analyze swimmers videos

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities:

  • Knowledge/education in exercise physiology an asset
  • Knowledge of the McGill swimming program and philosophy an asset
  • Level 2 NCCP coaching certification required
  • Organized and able to accept a flexible non-standard work schedule
