Technician, Laboratory

We are now looking for Laboratory Technician for our manufacturing facility in Brantford, Ontario, Industry and Water segment.  Schedule is Monday to Friday, occasional work on weekends.

What you’ll bring to the team:

• Autonomous and team member


• Have at least 3 years of laboratory experience


• Degree or diploma in a related chemical field (Lab Tech, Chemistry, Engineering)


• Be detail-oriented


• Possess a team spirit


• Experience with MS Office suite and know how to use MRP software (SAP is an asset)


• Excellent communication skills – Written and Verbal


• Strong organizational skills

Your responsibilities will include:

• Quality control using titration and gravimetric analysis (inorganic)


• Manufacturing and technical support – out of spec batches, batch adjustments, boiler and cooling water, etc.


• Analysis of raw materials, in process and finished products


• Batch production analysis


• Preparation of reagents


• Calibration of lab equipment and lab procedures/reagents


• Purchasing of lab supplies, reagents and equipment


• Data entry and compilation of reports – including SAP


• Shipment of samples


• Participation in research projects


• Customer complaint follow up


• IMS and other document control such as work instructions, SDSs
