Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM TechXchange team is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our Conference Content & Experience team as a tooling lead and implementation specialist working closely with the Conference Leader and extended team of Content and Experience specialists. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing all modules of the tooling platform that support the content framework and experiences across various types of content including core and non-core curriculum. The ideal candidate should have a strong command of the English language, be familiar with large scale event design and execution processes, and a passion for creating engaging user interactions by our target audience of technologists and business practitioners.
PS: Location for this position is Toronto
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Lead the design and implementation of required Rainfocus modules, including Call for Sessions, Voting, Attendee Portal, Session Catalog, Targeted Agendas, Scheduling and post event conference content strategy.
Support team members who lead other modules such as Speaker Portal, Registration, Exhibitor Portal, Meetings, etc.
Research industry-related topics and trends to generate ideas for TechXchange Conference implementation.
Work with the digital strategy and comms teams to ensure an optimum UI/UX experience with messaging copy that that adheres to brand guidelines and key messaging.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the TechXchange Conference extended content team including content specialsts, experiences team, global steering committee, and additional groups responsible for content curation, as well as other teams across IBM.
Collaborate in the requirements definition for implementing the Mobile App conference platform Eventbase, both pre-event and during event.
Contribute to the development of content calendars and schedules.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Bachelor’s degree in IT Systems, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
Proven experience in large scale event delivery, processes and timelines; content leader; event manager, or similar role.
Strong command of the Rainfocus platform for event management.
Aptitude for requirements gathering and designing & implementing systems based on those requirements.
Excellent command of the English language and grammar.
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Strong research skills and ability to gather information from multiple sources.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strategic communication and project management skills and ability to work on simultaneous high visibility projects.
